today nothing happened. the shiny coating of beetles makes the sidewalks slippery and crunchy. the sun reflects off their shells and makes us blind. today i did nothing. still i might go to sleep thinking about you, thinking about the time we sat on the side of that hill, in one of those parks, me all small and you very tall. probably we'd roll down that hill, get to the bottom, and laugh, not knowing that the very moment we stopped, everything would change.

i live for fabrics, texture and fibers. each one tells a story that i can't get enough of. each one feels different, tells me different things. i think of the tulle of my tutu, the woolly of the tartan blankets, and the smoothness of the tablecloth when i take it out of the dryer. big poppies, crazy lines, bright colours, subdued hues. blue skirt, red patent shoes, black scarf.
